Multi-Link’s Power Stone Reduces ATM Maintenance Cost
Lexington. KY - Multi-Link, Incorporated’s Power Stone telephone activated remote AC Power Controller is proving to be an invaluable tool in reducing ATM and kiosk maintenance expenses.
The Power Stone is an intelligent switch that gives service providers the ability to call the ATM and perform three tasks before dispatching a technician to the location. With any touch tone telephone, service personnel can call the site, enter a Security Access Code to “wake” the Power Stone and determine if 1) there has been a power outage to the ATM, 2) if power is currently being applied to the ATM, and 3) to perform a reboot if necessary. in many cases a site visit is not required and down time is dramatically reduced”, stated Scott Shelton, Senior Account Executive for Multi-Link.
The Power Stone has been utilized by technicians across a wide range of industries for nearly five years. Kiosk manufacturers and ATM service providers have installed several hundred over the past four months. ‘Since August, we have received several calls from banks desiring to reduce ATM service costs which are averaging $ 800 monthly”, stated Larry Anderson, Multi-Link’s VP National Accounts. “We anticipate those who are paying the service costs will drive the market for this product.
