Telecommunications equipment manufacturer and marketer Multi-Link, Inc. announces its latest line of cost saving, remote access products. Continuing with the success of The Power Stone®, a telephone activated remote AC power controller, Multi-Link will now offer an IP addressable, web-browser controlled Internet Power Stone , or IPS. The IPS offers in-band network power control in addition to the familiar out-of-band phone activated control of the traditional Power Stone. Extra features include automatic heartbeat reboot, international compatibility, and 120/240 VAC in one unit.  

“Adding the IP addressable feature to The Power Stone was a natural evolution for the product,” states Larry Anderson, Vice President of Sales. A device called the Internet Control Module , or ICM, enables the IPS to be accessed like a mini-website with multiple control options presented in typical browser format. The IPS receives the command from the user and gives the appropriate feedback over the internet. “The ICM is the command center for the IPS and other base units. We can provide the Network Administrator with browser control for ATX style PC's, dry closure contacts, reset push-buttons, and daisy-chained power control nodes,” he added. “Combining TCP/IP control with telephone activation and automatic heartbeat reboot allows Multi-link to offer the complete package for remote maintenance applications!”
