Benefits Applications How does the The Power Stone® 4000work? Control power to connected equipment "Automatically" using one of three Automatic Operating Modes. Or control power "Passively" until access it through your computer or call in via phone using touch tone commands. The IP Power Stone uses North American standard NEMA 5-15 AC connectors and has a broad auto-sensing voltage range from 110-250V @ 15 amps (10 amps @ 220V). Product Overview For the support organization with a growing number of remote site devices to maintain, but fewer personnel to maintain them, remote site management tools are essential. Dispatching a technician to a site located hours away for a simple power reboot is costly and time consuming. The IP Power Stone is a cost effective way to solve problems from the operations center, or even from on the road. Commands for equipment power inquiries, power On/Off, and reboot can be given to the IP Power Stone via the internet using any browser. Control access is secured by user name, password, and port number. In addition to its in-band TCP/IP control, the IP Power Stone features automatically enabled out-of-band functionality in the event of a network outage. Any or all of the features may be used simultaneously, making it an all-in-one solution for remote site maintenance. The IP Power Stone is intelligent enough to reboot itself. The autoreboot feature is available with self pinging and automatic network fault detection. In the event of a hung condition the IP Power Stone will This can resolve issues without significant downtime or dispatch of support personnel. If the reboot is unsuccessful, the Telco ring reboot feature is enabled for reset via phone call. This out-of-band access is useful for field techs with mobile phones and is vitally important when the in-band path is lost. Where equipment lock-ups are not a problem, the IP Power Stone can provide benefit by allowing equipment to be powered up only when needed.
