ComShare 350 was a single line unit with 3 ports (3 linked + 1 individual).  This was a passive unit meaning it did not answer the incoming call.  It monitored the telephone line and if the FAX CNG tone or DTMF transfer codes were detected, the call was routed accordingly. 

Due to the nature of its operation, the Answering Machine/Phone port would ring on every incoming call and Caller ID was received by the connected devices.  Every phone on the line would ring and receive Caller ID.  The Line Routing Switch 4.1 is the closest LRS replacement – user needs to configure for the home mode of operation.

If you want use distinctive ringing service to route your calls, the Line Routing Switch 4.1 is also the correct replacement.

The Line Routing Switch 4.1 will also do the manual transfer from your phone if you require it.

The superior replacement for the Command Connunications 350 autimatic fax or modem detection is Line Routing Switch 4.1.

Instead of having two or three phone lines, it allows you to have only one phone line instead of paying for three lines which obviously almost cost you 3 times as much) for virtually the same functionality.

Bacically it works like having two or three lines except you can't use them at the same time and you only have one number.
