ComShare 750 was a single line unit with 4 ports (2 linked + 2 individual). This was a passive unit meaning it did not answer the incoming call. It monitored the telephone line and if the FAX CNG tone or DTMF transfer codes were detected, the call was routed accordingly. The Line Routing Switch 4.1 not only offers this passive mode but also automatic and distinctive ring modems. It can even do both at the same time.
Due to the nature of its operation, the Answering Machine/Phone port would ring on every incoming call and Caller ID was not received by the connected devices. The Line Routing Switch 4.1 is the closest and by far a superior replacement – the user no longer needs to configure for the home mode of operation. Caller-Id works perfectly as well as most of the other phone company features offered today.
It even works with most of the newest digital technology shuch as Magic Jack Plus Plus as well as all DSL and Cable telephone services avalable today including in the US, AT&T, Sprinet, Comcas, Cox Communications, Cable One, Charter Communications, Mediacom, RCN, Time Warner Cabler, except for AT&T U-Verse which currently doesn't work for incoming fax calls at all. (AT&T assures us that they are working on it and the problem should be solveded soon.)
In Canada is works with companies such as Shaw, Vidéotron, Cogeco, Rogers, EastLink, and Sprinet.
The Line Routing Switch 4.1 is a huge improvement over the CS 750. We guarantee your satisfaction. Purchase your Line Routing Switch 4.1 today.
